Course Description
S
ince the summer of 1967, RSCM choir courses have enriched the lives of thousands of young singers and their choir directors, church, school, and community choirs across the United States and Canada. Our course has contributed to the summer offerings since 1996. Our motto, Psallam spiritu et mente, "I will sing with the spirit and with the understanding also," underscores the many opportunities for musical mountaintop experiences to young and old alike.
O
ur course features opportunities to sing the finest sacred SATB repertoire with the highest standards of musical performance, conducted by internationally recognized musicians, balanced with a full complement of structured recreational and social activities.
A
dditionally, choirmasters and organists both will be enriched byorgan recitals by acclaimed organists
sessions on choir and vocal technique building,
afternoon organ masterclasses, and
opportunities for private voice coachings.
G
irls will also have opportunities to increase reading and singing ability throughdaily ear training sessions and
daily small group voice coachings.
The course is housed on the campus of
Saint Mary’s School, an exceptional girls’ school located in Raleigh, North Carolina, which combines historic charm with modern conveniences, such as air-conditioned dormitories and an indoor swimming pool.
Closing services and recitals will be at various Raleigh venues.

W
e are delighted that Wilma Jensen will be this year's primary Organ Institute clinician and recitalist. Ms. Jensen will form a common thread of instruction and performance, with helpful coachings on repertoire, accompanying, improvisation, and service playing.

pportunities also abound to observe top choir directors in rehearsal.
Social Opportunities
A
dults gather nightly in the hospitality room and venture out through the week to area night spots.
